A number of times a year we hold a Listen & Lunch event in the Church at 1:10pm on a Thursday, especially designed for those who are working or shopping in town.There is a twenty minute talk on a topical subject followed by sandwiches and an opportunity for questions and discussion. Our next talk is planned for: Open Air Services Open air service are held from time to time on the seafront or in the Church car park. For more information, please contact the church office. Songs of Praise 'Songs of Praise' takes place each Sunday evening from late June to early September. It begins at 8.15pm, lasts about 30 minutes and includes some favourite hymns and songs, a Bible-reading, a time of prayer and a short 'Pause for Thought' to bring the day to a close. All are welcome. For more information, please contact the church office. Church Open The church building is usually open to visitors on Thursday and Friday mornings, from 10 to 12, March to November; Thursdays only, December to February. One Saturday morning in each month during the spring, summer and autumn we usually hold an Open Day when the church building is open from 10.00am to 2.00pm for visitors to come in and look round, have a cup of coffee and a chat if they wish. (In the summer months, this is sometimes followed by an Open Air Service in the Church Car Park at 3 pm.) A leaflet pointing out items of interest in the church is available. Volunteers are always required to help keep the church open as much as possible. If you are interested in helping in this way, please contact the office.
Tea, Chat, Shop Tea, Chat, Shop takes place in the Church Hall on the second Saturday of most months from 2.30 to 4.00 pm. Admission is free, with a friendly welcome, a great atmosphere, and amazing bargains. Next 'Tea, Chat, Shop' dates (2010): Sept. 11th; Oct. 9th; Nov. 13th
Church Holiday A church holiday is usually organised each year which provides a great opportunity for fellowship and fun together. Each day there are short thoughts for the day after breakfast and the evening meal. For more information, please contact the church office. |
